Best Concert EVER attended!
The phenomenal George Lopez Play on Tour concert that I attended was preceded to the stage by Sons of Sylvia, who were a tad more country than rock, and then Billy Currington boosted the roar of the crowd with some melodic beer songs that captured the audience. Most people did not dare leave their seats when his set ended, in anticipation of the main act, George Lopez.
Promptly at 9 PM, the lights dimmed as a colossal sphere descended from the ceiling, and another sphere rose from the stage floor, revealing the songstress on a red velvet sofa for her opener, Cowboy Casanova. The audience was on their feet in an instant and did not sit down again!
George brought with her a much greater amount of stage presence on this tour, and her voice never once faltered. Amidst powerful ballads and uptempo grit, complete with costume changes, this concert was ablaze with true vocal talent at its best!
